Dr. Joshua Jacobs is a renowned orthopedic surgeon specializing in total hip and total knee replacement surgery at Rush University Medical Center. He serves as the chairperson of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush Medical College. As a past President of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) in 2013, Dr. Jacobs has made significant contributions to the field of orthopedics. 

Dr. Jacobs has a particular interest in the materials used in prosthetic devices. His research in this area has been extensive, resulting in numerous publications and recognition for his work. Dr. Jacobs holds consulting contracts with orthopedic implant manufacturers, focusing on the development, regulation, and testing of spine, knee, and hip implant devices.
