Biography

Dr. Johnny Lin is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of complex foot and ankle disorders. His expertise encompasses the management and rehabilitation of work-related injuries, sports-related injuries, deformity correction, arthritis, and fractures affecting the foot and ankle. Dr. Lin employs a comprehensive approach, offering both surgical and nonsurgical treatments tailored to each patient’s needs. When surgery is required, he utilizes a range of techniques, including cartilage transplant, arthroscopy, ankle replacement, deformity correction, and osteotomy-sparing bunion surgery. 

Dr. Lin graduated with distinction from the honors program at the University of Illinois, earning a bronze tablet. He completed his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and his orthopedic surgery residency at Rush University Medical Center. He furthered his specialization with fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the prestigious University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic.  

Currently, Dr. Lin treats foot and ankle disorders at Rush University Medical Center, Central DuPage Hospital, and Rush Oak Park Hospital. His commitment to the field extends beyond clinical practice; he is actively involved in community education, lectures frequently, and trains medical students and residents at Rush University. Dr. Lin also serves as a journal editor for Foot and Ankle International and is engaged in ongoing research in his specialty area.
